How To Develop Faith In Your Purpose

True believing is not a mental state. Granted that it may cause a mental state, it is spiritual in nature. Faith is of the heart. It goes beyond the reasoning faculties of the mind. A person who truly believes, knows in their "gut" that regardless of how things appear or what it seems like, all things really are possible to him or her who believes. Faith is a must for the accomplishing of the purpose and dreams we carry. We must believe in that purpose. We must believe that it is something we are born to do, something God wants us to attain. And we must believe that with His grace and help, we can and will do it, period. The risks do not matter to the person who believes. Challenges are a part of the package. If we truly have faith in our goals and what the fulfillment of those plans can do for us, our families and the good of man-kind, then we should have a "no quitting" attitude about us. Winners do not quit, because they believe that they can have what they want.
What does it mean to believe? It describes the dreamer who has an inward knowing that what they desire is possible, available to them and attainable. When we discover our purpose in life, it literally causes faith to commence within, a sense of understanding that we are not on earth to merely exist, but to do something great, be something great, effect the lives of others for good and make a difference before we leave here.
The person who has perceived their purpose and sets his or her sight to the accomplishing of that purpose must ensure that faith is developed in the heart concerning that dream consistently. Faith is a belief so strong within, that it out-weighs, out-shines, out-lasts and out-runs all of the distractions, obstacles and hurdles which will be encountered.
How can faith be developed? Here are five tips for growing in faith to fulfill your God-ordained purpose:
1. Faith is built by words. If you constantly feed your dreams and purpose by hearing positive words, words which impress more and more upon your heart that your dream is possible, faith will continue to rise within you, flushing out doubts and fears. Be careful of who you stay around. You need people around you who are constantly speaking positively to you. People who understand that, with God, all things are possible.
2. Speak words of faith to yourself continually. Faith comes by hearing. You can hear others speak words of faith, or you can speak them yourself.
3. God's Word, the Bible, is the Word of Faith. So feed upon it daily and speak it. It will change your life.
4. Take bold and aggressive steps toward the fulfillment of your goals. Do it daily. Do it persistently. Remember that faith is much more than mentally believing that something is possible. Faith is acting on what you believe. If there is no action, you really do not believe.
5. Always ask God to strengthen you in faith. He is always a very present help to those who seek Him.
